1. Service Overview

Notchpad is a browser-based Markdown notepad provided by Frequency AI Ltd, trading as Cashew Crate. The free tier stores all data locally in your browser. No account is required for the free tier.

2. Free Tier

The free tier provides unlimited notes, Markdown editing, auto-save, and export features. All data is stored in your browser's localStorage. We do not collect, store, or process any of your note content on our servers.

3. Pro Subscription

Pro is available at $3/month per app or $15/month for Crate Pass (all apps). Payment is processed through Polar. You can cancel at any time; your Pro features remain active until the end of the billing period.

4. Refunds

Email support@cashewcrate.com with your order number and a description of the issue.

5. Data & Privacy

Your notes are stored locally in your browser. We do not have access to your notes or their content. Clearing your browser data will remove your notes. We recommend exporting important notes regularly.

6. Advertising

The free tier displays ads via Google AdSense. Ads are only loaded after you consent to cookies. Pro users enjoy an ad-free experience.

7. Limitation of Liability

Notchpad is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for data loss resulting from browser data clearing, localStorage limits, or other browser-level issues. Always export important notes as backup.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
