Privacy Policy

What data we collect

None from your notes. All notes, settings, and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. We cannot read, access, or recover your notes — they exist only on your device.

We may collect:

• Analytics data (Google Analytics GA4) — page views, session duration, device type. Only with your consent via the cookie banner. Cookieless until you consent (Google Consent Mode v2).
• Payment data (if you subscribe to Pro) — email and payment details handled by Polar. We do not store payment card information.

Cookies

We use cookies only with your explicit consent:

• Google AdSense — advertising cookies, loaded only after consent.
• Google Analytics — analytics cookies, loaded only after consent. Without consent, analytics runs in cookieless mode.
• Auth service — if you sign in for Pro, a session cookie is set by auth.cashewcrate.com.

You can reject all cookies via the consent banner. This does not affect the core note-taking functionality.

Third-party services

• Google Analytics — for understanding how people use the site (with consent)
• Google AdSense — for serving ads to free-tier users (with consent)
• Polar — for processing Pro subscription payments
• Cloudflare — for hosting and CDN

Data retention

Your notes exist only in your browser's localStorage. They are retained until you delete them or clear your browser data. We have no copies of your notes and cannot recover them if deleted.

Your rights (GDPR)

Since we store no personal note data, there is nothing to request deletion of for free-tier users. If you have a Pro subscription, you can request deletion of your account data by emailing support@cashewcrate.com.
